IAS BlueScopeWIN individual athlete Kade Szakacs has cemented his position in the NSW All Schools cross-country team to compete at the nationals in August.
Szakacs finished strongly to earn his spot in the team to compete in Albany, Western Australia.

IAS NETBALLERS CLAIM BRONZE AT NIB GAMES
THE IAS netball squad recently competed at the annual NIB Netball Games in Maitland, where they performed strongly to claim bronze in the highly competitive division-one championship.
The team finished with five wins and only two losses to claim the bronze with a total of 331 points scored across seven games.
IAS acting general manager Shannon Fraser said: "It was definitely pleasing to see the girls compete well and put into practice all the things they have been working on.
"The wins against Western Sydney Academy and Central Coast Academy were definitely the highlight and reinforced the improvements the girls have made since both these teams beat us earlier in the year at the ClubsNSW Academy Games."
The IAS division-two team managed to finish fifth after claiming five wins and four losses.

DYER BROTHERS DIG GOLD
IAS BlueScopeWIN individual athletes Tarren and Jarrod Dyer have bagged yet another handful of swimming medals at the recent 2014 Winter Short Course Championships and Winter Sprint Series.
The dynamic duo claimed 13 medals, including five gold, six silver and two bronze.
Jarrod also claimed the 2014 Boys' Multi-Class Champion of Champion Trophy for the Short Course Championships and Winter Sprint Series.

NOMINATIONS FOR 2015 SPORTS SCHOLARSHIPS NOW OPEN
THE IAS is currently calling for nominations for 2015 Sports Scholarships for cycling, golf, athletes with a disability (AWD), lawn bowls, individual athletes (IAP), hockey, netball, rugby union and triathlon.
Academy scholarships provide opportunities for young pre-elite athletes to join the region's leading body for sports training, physical development and education.
Athlete nominations can officially be submitted online through the IAS website.
IAS scholarships will commence in October 2014 following an extensive selection process which includes trials and interviews prior to offers being made.
Scholarship programs run for 12 months.
Look out for advertising in the media, check the academy website at ias.org.au or pick up information through local sporting associations and schools throughout the region.
Athletes have a month to apply, with sport trials and athlete interviews being held throughout September.
