Why did you apply for an IAS scholarship?

To increase exposure to developmental pathways.

What is your pre-competition routine and how long have you been doing it?

I do a pre-race warm-up instructed by the coach and specific to preparation on race day and race technique emphasis in the week prior to competition. I have been doing this for four years.

Who's your favourite professional athlete and why?

Usain Bolt. He is the world's greatest athlete. Everyone would love to be able to run like him. He has amazing talent.

What is your best memory from swimming ?

I love going away on trips and meeting new people.

If you weren't involved in swimming, what would you be doing and why?

I'd be doing something to keep me active and busy and fit. I love being involved in some kind of sporting activity.

When did you start swimming and how did you get started?

I started when I was quite young and needed to improve my co-ordination and fitness.

What are your plans beyond school?

I want to be a policeman and help people.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

America. It is a great country for swimming and for general living.

What do you do in your free time?

I love playing PlayStation or getting on my iPad.
