Seven champions in age divisions from under 8s to under 14s were crowned with more than 100 competitors facing tricky one-foot waves at Bombo Beach.
Reigning state champion Bulli's Keanu Miller made it through to the boys' final in the under 14s, finishing third overall behind Jackson Roberts, of Bateau Bay.
Beau Buckpitt (Culburra) finished fourth, and the Central Coast natural footer Roberts did enough in a tight final to take the crown.
Avalon's Cedar Leigh-Jones made light work of the tricky conditions to win the under-12s girls' division with a heat total of 7.8.
Stanwell Park's Kasey Hargreaves showed moments of brilliance to finish second.
Kiahni Scott (Collaroy) was victorious in the under-10 girls, with Culburra's Keira Buckpitt finishing second and Jada Thomas (Barrack Point) third.
Kiama's Dayan Conti ensured the under-8s title remained at his home club after taking out the parent-assist division.
Conti managed to lock in a solid 8-point wave score (out of a possible 10) to edge his fellow finalists.
Avalon's Bodhi Leigh-Jones showed her class by backing up her win in the opening Wahu event on Sydney's Northern Beaches by taking the under-14 girls' final.
The Avalon surfer caught a flurry of waves, which enabled her to perform a series of critical manoeuvres and post a heat total of 13.84.
The main base for event three was Kiama Surf Beach with back-up locations of Jones Beach, Bombo and Werri Beach.
Regarded as one of the main stepping stones in the development of young Australian surfers, the 10-event Wahu Surfer Groms Comps are held in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
