Why did you apply for an IAS scholarship?
To continue achieving personal bests and eventually to represent Australia.
What is your pre-competition routine and how long have you been doing it?
A good night's rest, hydrate, and a consistent eating and warm-up routine on competition day.
Who's your favourite professional athlete and why?
Melinda Gainsford-Taylor because she is a high achieving Australian 200-metres runner and is a very down to earth woman. She is happy to inspire her fans and shows a dedication to her athletics.
What is your best memory from playing sport?
Possibly representative soccer because I've always loved playing the game.
When did you start playing your sport and how did you get started?
I started Little Athletics at age three. I wanted to do it so badly because my two older brothers were doing it.
What are the greatest challenges balancing school and sport?
Keeping up with my homework.
What is your biggest disappointment in sport?
I don't dwell on my disappointments; I turn it into a positive for preparation in my next running event.
What are your plans beyond school?
Hopefully a career involving my love of sport.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where it would be?
Right here because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
What do you do in your free time?
Training, hanging out with friends, going to the beach, spending time with family, playing soccer, touch football, Oztag and keeping up to date with my homework.
