Based on the children's film Alice in Wonderland, performers engaged kids through the iconic storyline, which was modified to include environmental tips for children.
Wollongong City Council education officer Michael O'Connor was among those performing in the show.
"We always have a topical theme which we add into our stories in interesting ways," he said.
"Today we focused on global warming but did so through games so it was entertaining and informative."
To discourage excessive electricity usage in winter, the performers encouraged kids to dress up and put on layers of clothing to naturally warm up.
"By doing things like that, the kids realised how easy it was to be environmentally friendly with simple choices, but had fun at the same time," Mr O'Connor said.
"It's good to start at a young age so global warming isn't a foreign concept."
