St George edged out Central Coast 20-14 in the under 16s Harold Matthews Cup to make it back-to-back wins, following a strong 22-6 victory over Norths in round two.
The unbeaten St George under 18s SG Ball side beat Wests 32-16 in round one, then belted North Sydney 38-8 in round two.
The Illawarra Steelers had the round three bye in both junior competitions, with their SG Ball side winning their opening two matches.
The Steelers under 18s beat the Bulldogs 18-12 in round two after a first-up 29-24 victory over Souths.
On Saturday the Steelers take on Parramatta at Blacktown Patrician Brothers College (11.15am) in SG Ball, while St George are hoping to keep their unbeaten run away to Perth.
In Harold Matthews Cup, the Steelers take on the Eels at Blacktown (10am), while the Dragons face the South West Sydney Academy side at Kirkham Park.
