The first meeting of the two clubs in trials produced a full day of league from under 6s to under 15s at Croome Road Sporting Complex.
The emphasis was on participation and enjoying footy, with many players enjoying their first season of league and others loving the challenge of moving up in their age groups and division.
Albion Park Oak Flats juniors were grateful for the support from the clubs plus major sponsors Murrell Freight Lines Wollongong, Blooms Chemist Albion Park, Albion Park Bowling Club, Autobarn Albion Park and MMJ Shellharbour City plus other sponsors.
East Campbelltown Eagles provided outstanding competition with the games marked by excellent sportsmanship by all teams.
The trials were washed out last year but all the kids loved testing themselves against teams from outside their association.
The club has more trial games in preparation for the upcoming junior season which kicks off on April 18.
Registrations are still open for all age groups, with more information available from the Eagles' website eaglesjuniors.leaguenet.com.au
