Corrimal make big splash

 Harrison Corby won a silver medal in the boys 15 years 100-metre breaststroke and bronze in the 200m breaststroke in personal best times, with Jayden Hutchinson claiming a bronze medal in a PB time in the boys 17-18 years  200m butterfly.

  Several other Corrimal Swim Club juniors delivered personal best times as a championships featured  the top swimmers from across NSW.

  Among the highlights for CSC was Jaimie De Lutiis setting a PB in the girls 10 years and under 100m freestyle, while brother Nathan swam five PBs with a best-placed fifth in the boys 15 years 100m breaststroke and fifth in the 200m breaststroke.

  Kaimana Fittock swam well in her girls 13 years 50m and 100m freestyle, while Tim Gordon had four PBs in his boys 14 years freestyle, butterfly and backstroke events.

  Jayden Hutchinson took home a bronze medal and finished top 10 in his boys 17-18 years 400m freestyle and 200m freestyle races.

  Liam Jenkins swam well in three events and finished fourth in the boys 17-18 years 200m butterfly, while Saxon Schettino was fifth in the boys 12 years 100m freestyle plus impressed in his breaststroke and butterfly events.

 Zara Sharman (13 years girls) set a personal best time in her three freestyle events and Mali Taylor stopped the clock in 47 seconds in a PB effort in the girls 15 years 100m freestyle.

  Bridie De Lutiis had a great swim in her first State Championships, while Kira Steward and Tiarne Steward also did very well, while Shannon Jenkins and Sophie McLean not only competed in their own events, but joined in the club’s seven relay teams.

Corrimal Swim Club hold a popular Friday night points score with new members welcome.

The pointscore encourages swimmers to improve their times.
