After almost paying the price for a slow start against Manly last week, the Cutters shot out of the blocks with tries to Tyrone McCarthy, Drew Hutchison and Josh McCrone inside the opening 18 minutes.
Shannon Wakeman carried three defenders across for his own four-pointer before Mitch Porter’s try from a Hutchison kick gave the Cutters a 28-0 lead at the break.
Kalifa Faifai Loa scored 10 minutes after the resumption while Porter bagged his double before Levi Dodd’s 65-metre effort on fulltime to sealed the 42-6.
The Cutters 14th win of the year leaves them two points clear of Wests Tigers in second spot and, with the best differential in the competition, they could cement a second-placed finish with a win over Wentworthville ahead of their final round clash with Wyong a week later.
