El Magnifico, trained by Julie Fletcher, has drawn box three after winning his heat in 26.29 seconds last week. The classy sprinter holds imposing record of seven wins from eight visits at the track.
Bear’s Gold (box five) is the fastest qualifier from the heats, clocking 26.21 seconds.
They lead what looks to be an incredibly even field for the $40,000-to-the-winner final. Entry to the track will be free on the evening, with entertainment on track for children.
“We are all prepared for the big night,” Bulli operations manager Darren Hull said.
“The heats were really tight and the box draw has really opened it up. We are looking forward to the night.”
Racing begins at 7.05pm on Saturday night.
