With a stiff breeze at their backs in the second and fourth quarters, the Kangaroos kicked 12 goals at one end, in the 14.11 (95) to 3.7 (25) win.
Mitch Daly was a stand-out in the midfield, also kicking four goals, as well as best-on-ground Brodie Sheahen, after the game was moved from Hollymount Oval after heavy rain last week.
“We’d been struggling to get our forward line mix right this season, but we were able to get our run going and hit some targets,” coach Greg Templeton said.
“Mitch had a super game. We were finally able to put a full game together and we’ll have to turn up with the same attitude against the Bulldogs next week, if we want to be playing finals this year.”
Shellharbour are still clinging to fourth spot, half-a-game ahead of Bomaderry and four points clear of Figtree in sixth. The Suns had few answers after quarter time in a fiery 13.15 (93) to 6.13 (49) loss to premiers the Wollongong Lions.
Alex Cotter kicked six for the Lions, as they led by 38 points at half-time with a five goals to none second term.
Nowra-Albatross kicked behinds without a major in the second half of a 11.15 (81) to 3.12 (30) loss to Wollongong Bulldogs.
Kiama had victory on ice by half-time, after holding Bomaderry scoreless in the opening term. The Power finished 18.8 (116) to 4.3 (27) winners.
