Kemblawarra Fury coach Luke McGuire believes his in-form side will need to take their performance up another gear to challenge title favourites Bulli this weekend.

It comes after the Fury put in their best display of the season on Sunday as they hammered Wollongong Olympic 6-1 in their qualifying final.
The result sets up a heavyweight grand final qualifier against the League Championship winners this Sunday where McGuire is adamant his side must raise their game even higher to beat their long time title rivals.
“I think Bulli are going to throw a little more at us,” McGuire said. “Olympic were a little under-strength on Sunday but Bulli’s attacking front line is the best in the league I think.
“I think they are devastating in midfield and awesome in transition.
“When you lose the ball, they are very good at catching you out if you are not concentrating.”
Concentration was never an issue for the Fury in their impressive triumph over Olympic.
While Rob Birkin’s squad were playing without Jack Keating, Harrison Brown and John Martinoski, Kemblawarra never gave their rivals a chance in a dominant display to open their finals campaign.
“For us, it was just good to put in a 90 minute performance,” McGuire said.
“We moved the ball around pretty well.
“When they scored, we never lost our focus.
“I think it was the best we have played this season.”
McGuire is hopeful of emulating the performance against Bulli, but the experienced coach knows that beating the northern suburbs club will be no easy feat.
“We were always pretty confident going into the Olympic game but this week is a totally different ball game,” he said.
“We haven’t been able to beat them in two meetings in the league this season and they have only lost once all year.

“They are the form team in the competition and done it for 22 weeks so they are going to be hard to beat.”

Kemblawarra will also play in the youth grade grand final qualifier against Wollongong United.
