The Arborio rice used in two batches of its Happy Tummies Vegetable Risotto may contain glass, the company said.
The products have been available for sale in most major retailers and some pharmacies throughout Australia.
No other Rafferty’s Garden product or batch is affected by the recall.
“At Rafferty’s Garden, we take food safety and the safety of our little consumers very seriously,” the company said.
“We have been advised that there was an issue at the Arborio rice manufacturers where glass has entered the production process and was not detected.
“Although we are confident of our rigorous quality screening mechanisms in place, we have initiated a recall of the affected batches as a precautionary measure.”
Consumers should not eat this product and should return it to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.
