Overnight crews continued to backburn along Jervis Bay Road on the northern side of the fire and along Wreck Bay Rd on the western edge of the fire.
Crews will continue to backburn Friday where conditions allow. Residents may see an increase in fire and smoke while backburning is carried out.
Jervis Bay Road and Wreck Bay Road remain closed.
Residents in the area of Jervis Bay Village and Wreck Bay Village are instructed to monitor the situation in case conditions change.
Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.
The Rural Fire service issued an emergency warning over the fire which appeared to have been deliberately lit at multiple locations at 5am Thursday morning.
