It’s the first tournament for the Australian team since finishing third at the World League semi-finals in South Africa in July.
Govers hasn’t worn green-and-gold since playing at the Rio Olympics last year.
“Blake comes back in after a good training block, so we are interested in his performance as a striker,” coach Colin Batch said.
“He’ll also strengthen our penalty corner flicking.
“Eddie Ockenden, Tristan Clemons, Ben Craig and Josh Beltz come in and I’m pleased to have them back.”
The selections come as the Australian Hockey League moves towards the final to be played on Sunday.
Govers, competing for NSW, will take on Queensland in the semi-finals on Thursday, while Victoria meet India, who were included in the competition as well as a New Zealand development team.
