In an effort to cope with growing demand, Craig has confirmed the staff appointment of Damien Skeen to the ranks at his Windang store.
Damo brings with him a wealth of fishing experience and knowledge and indicated he is very keen to assist with any inquiries as well as offer guidance where necessary. Welcome aboard.
Looks like the fishing is heating up too with a solid kingfish taken from live baiting off the rocks and locals Paul and Brad have been getting into some nice reds and bar cod.
In closer, Lake Illawarra has started to produce some nice flathead and bream as well as a few blue swimmer crabs and a few big whiting.
Rock anglers found good quality luderick in the better spots with green weed, rock cabbage and peeled royal red prawns seeing some near unstoppable drummer sorting out the men from the boys.
Live beach and squirt worms are the gun baits for all manner of species and supplies vary from day to day.
But if you are after some stud bream or whiting, source some worms and try either side of the Lake Illawarra road bridge and along the sand flats opposite the town green near DPI Fisheries.
Further into the lake, the flatties have started to come out of their winter doldrums and have been biting well on whitebait, fresh green lake prawns and of course, jigged plastics.
