Ralston and the rest of the 15-man squad will be looking to claim the under 19 crown for the first time since Marsh skippered Hazelwood and Maddinson to victory in the 2010 tournament.
Former Test stars Ryan Harris and Chris Rogers will coach the team at the tournament that will start in New Zealand on January 13.
“It feels amazing I can’t really describe it,” Ralston said.
“I just got the call and there was a bit of shock there but I’m really proud to be in the team an really happy to be going to New Zealand.
“Hopefully I can have a good series over there. I’ll just be looking to bowl fast and take some wickets.
“Hopefully the wickets over there are a bit conducive to fast bowling but I’m just hoping to come in hit the pitch hard and hopefully take some wickets.
