An Albion Park Rail man awaiting trial on allegations he sexually abused his would-be step-sister has been arrested for failing to report on bail.

The 19-year-old, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of his alleged victim, is accused of repeatedly forcing himself on the girl while living together when their respective parents were an item in 2016.
Police documents tendered to Wollongong Local Court in the man’s bail application on Sunday claim he is previously “known” on the Family and Community Services system as a person “causing harm to children”.
Police opposed his release from custody, suggesting he presented a risk to the general community that couldn’t be mitigated by any bail conditions.
The court heard the family was living in a town in rural NSW when the man allegedly began preying on his then 15-year-old step-sister.
The girl told Child Abuse Squad detectives her step-brother came into her bedroom in the early hours of October 3 and began kissing her.
She claims he pulled up her shirt and sucked her breasts and bit her nipples, leaving her with bruise marks.
She said he then left the room and the following morning, acted as if nothing had happened.
The girl claims her step-brother repeated the same behaviour two nights later but this time digitally penetrated her as well.
She told police she tried to push him off and kept saying ‘no’, but claims he ignored her.
The girl told detectives she was assaulted again on the nights of October 7, October 11 and October 20, as well as the nights of November 5 and November 14 or 15.
The girl said she eventually “gave up trying to stop him” and just “laid still”.
The teen disclosed the alleged assault to her siblings, then police, in mid-November.
In court on Sunday, Registrar Nicole Hoffman agreed to give the man one last chance in the community after he admitted failing to report to St Marys Police Station on Saturday, as per his bail conditions.
“He has a limited record and he is young,” she said, in reinstating his bail.
As part of his new conditions, the man’s sister agreed to forfeit $500 to the court if he fails to comply with bail.
The case is due to return to court in April.
