The Royal Caribbean ship that had the honour of making the maiden voyage by a cruise ship to Wollongong on October 30, 2016 arrived early.
That meant the first of 2400 passengers arrived in the Wollongong Arts Precinct by a Premier Motor Service shuttle bus by 8.40am.
Many of those passengers had booked tours while many others are expected to shop and or head to the beach.
Some of the 700 strong crew will also take the opportunity to get off the ship to check out Australia’s newest port of call for the cruise industry.
There are 159 volunteer ambassadors scattered around the city to welcome them and a Makers Market waiting for them as soon as they hop off their shuttle bus.
Radiance of the Seas is due to depart Port Kembla by 4pm.
