Port Kembla golfer Thomas Heaton will travel to Perth in April as a member of the NSW Boys team to contest an interstate team’s challenge.

The competition will be contested at Hartfield and Royal Perth Golf Club and National NSW coach Dean Kinney said the tournament will play a key role in the development of the players’ games.
“It’s exciting to see so many new faces,” Kinney said. “It will be a great experience for them.
“Our expectations are high, not only in terms of their performances, but as representatives of Golf NSW and the sport.
“Importantly, the opportunity to learn from the experience for all of them will be invaluable.”
Heaton has emerged as one of NSW’s most promising junior golfer’s in recent years and shot to prominence after hitting a hole in one at last November’s NSW Open. Astonishingly, the Open was just the 15-year-old’s first professional tournament.
