One of those affected was Tony Abela, who lives in an over-55s estate off Old Saddleback Road, west of the Kiama CBD.
He said the outage started at 4.50pm on Friday last week.
Since then, the outage updates on the Telstra website had kept extending the timeframe for when the internet will return.
Mr Abela said at 7pm each night, the update would change to state the repairs would be complete by 7pm the following day.
“Despite the number of calls I’ve made and others have made as well, there’s just been no result at all,” Mr Abela said.

He said he was one of the lucky ones who had a plan B of sorts to get access to the internet, thought the speeds are slower.
“In my particular case I’m a little bit fortunate in that we had a failure about a month ago and they changed my modem,” he said.
“The new modems that they’re providing have got a back-up that switches you over to the mobile network as if it was a mobile phone.”
While the lack of internet was frustrating Mr Abela said “the biggest problem” was that repeated calls to the Telstra call centre did not lead to an explanation for what was going on.
A Telstra spokeswoman said the outage, which has been repaired after a week, affected 68 ADSL services in Kiama.
“We apologise to our customers for the interruption they experienced to their ADSL service caused by a hardware fault,” the spokeswoman said.
“Services were restored around midday today [Friday] and we thank our customers for their patience while we worked as quickly as possible to fix the issue.”
