Christ Church Kiama has, over many years now, had a successful reputation of collaboration with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
In the past, all the student concerts have attracted rave reviews, for the quality of music.
Remember, these students are the cream of the crop from an Australian music institution with the highest of reputations. They will not disappoint.
If the exciting program is any indication, this concert will be another raving success.
The concert features the Brass Five, made up of five students at the absolute peak of ability on their respective brass instruments.
They will be performing a specially selected brass repertoire on this occasion and ‘the little white church’, noted for its superb acoustics will be resonating to their mellifluous sounds.
Tickets for this ‘not-to-be-missed’ concert are $25 (no concessions) and are available from the Kiama Visitors Centre, call 32 33 22.
The Christ Church program offers something for everyone, from classical and jazz items from the Brass Five and some popular arias from a brilliant young singer, Alexander Young, who has chosen a selection from the Erlkoning by Schubert as well as Handel’s ‘Ombra Ma Fu’.
