A 23-year-old man died from upper body wounds after an altercation at Doveton on Thursday night, police said.
A 20-year-old and an 18-year-old were arrested at a local property around midday on Friday and have been interviewed by police.
A milk bar worker who saw the incident earlier told 3AW radio the man remained standing immediately after the alleged attack.
"Only after I told him that he was bleeding, the adrenaline faded away or something then he realised and he collapsed," the witness, named Igor, said.
