Selected Vinnies shops will stock the new product range, Vinnies 4 Life Bespoke Totes.
Made from recycled textiles and accessories, they are individually handcrafted, and made at Castlereagh Industries, a special work of the St Vincent de Paul Society located in regional NSW.
Castlereagh Industries is a social enterprise providing flexible employment to persons with disability.
Every Vinnies 4 Life Bespoke Tote is a unique item.
They are hand-pieced and sewn using textiles and accessories that may otherwise have gone to waste.
The Totes are now available at Vinnies Kiama.
“Not only do our Bespoke Totes make a positive contribution to the environment by recycling textiles, the project also fosters community links, and allows us to assist people with employment, training and up-skilling opportunities,” Peter Knock from the St Vincent de Paul Society said.
The Kiama store is located on Terralong Street.
