A tip off from a member of the community helped police find a stolen car in Bellambi on Thursday.

Police will allege a 2002 Toyota Corolla was stolen from a home on Storey Street, Fairy Meadow between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 5am on Thursday.
A wallet and credit cards, which were alleged used in five fraudulent transactions, were also found inside the car.
Police searched a home on Scobie Crescent, Bellambi after receiving a tip off on Thursday.
The stolen car was found and seized as were other items which may be linked to other property offences that happened in the Fairy Meadow area.
Wollongong Police District’s Inspector Mark Walker said finding the stolen car was a great example of the community working with police to solve crime.
“Our proactive crime team worked swiftly once the information was received and the stolen car was seized along with some other pieces of evidence,” Inspector Walker said.
No arrests have been made but inquiries continue.
