The first step in the path to March’s NSW Championships, the competition saw a number of impressive results from all involved.
Carnival hosts, Wollongong City, celebrated a successful meet, with numerous athletes qualifying for February’s Region Championships and many more setting new personal bests. The Region Championships will see the athletes hit the road, with West End Oval in Griffith hosting the meet.
The Illawarra’s little athletics clubs are split across two zones, with the southern clubs spending the weekend in Nowra at the Mid South Coast Zone Championships.
They too will head to Griffith for the Region Championships.
