After being started by Wollongong’s Melissa Abu-Gazaleh the foundation expanded rapidly with programs now run in all parts of Australia.
They are designed to help improve the wellbeing and understanding of boys and young men, and the relationships they have with the communities around them.
That has been made possible by generous donations and word-of-mouth support.
The Top Blokes Foundation is planning more mentoring sessions and vital conversations with young men in schools and community settings across Australia in 2019.
It is also looking at using social media to allow the whole community to get involved in key young men's health issues and discussions.
2019 achievements;
- 1071 young men were mentored
- 119 mentoring programs were run
- 13,565 face-to-face mentoring hours
- 52 school partners
