Dylan Allan France repeatedly called both sets of officers “f—king wogs” during the heated confrontation, which took place outside the Harp Hotel on the evening of December 21 last year.
Court documents said France downed an unknown number of drinks during the night but was sufficiently drunk enough for security guards to ask him to leave and he was escorted outside.
He tried to re-enter a short time later but was stopped at the main door, prompting him to call the bouncer a “f—king wog” and motioning as if he was going to punch him.
Other security staff then wrestled France to the ground. They were soon assisted by police who had been driving by and saw the fracas.
France was handcuffed but continued to verbally abuse police, with officers saying he was “swearing profusely” in front of the busy pub.
Officers were eventually able to calm France to a degree. They removed his cuffs and told him he’d been issued with a fine for failing to leave the pub.
They then told him to leave the area, however he refused and re-directed a barrage of abuse at police and threatening to kill them if they took his money.
“You all stick together, you and those wog c—t security guards,” he yelled before sticking his middle finger up at them and saying “this is Australia you wog c—t”.
Officers arrested France but he struggled against them and kicked out at the door of the paddy wagon while being loaded inside.
He continued his belligerent behaviour while in custody at the police station, spitting on the floor of the cells and taunting police.
Arresting officers described France’s behaviour as “horribly aggressive” and said it was clear he was well affected b y alcohol.
“He exhibited no respect for the community, police and the judicial system,” they said.
France was released on bail but banned from consuming alcohol while at liberty. He breached that condition on January 2 when got involved in a drunken fight at McDonalds in Nowra, leaving another man with a bleeding lip.
France was arrest on February 2 and remanded in custody.
In court on Tuesday, Magistrate Michael Stoddart placed France on a 12-month community corrections order and fined him $1,000.
“It troubles me to see this escalating type of offending, and it’s all got to do with alcohol,” he said.
As part of the court order, France will be required to stay sober when in public.
