Kiama's games against Wollongong Lions, scheduled for Saturday, has officially been postponed following the shock death of Power life member Darren Williams.
The round two clash, the first time the Power and Lions would have met since last year's grand final, is likely to be played of a night mid-week later in the year.
AFL South Coast manager Matt Graham confirmed the league would try to find a suitable date in coming days after discussions with both clubs.
"Hopefully we'll be able to find a date that works for both clubs when the time is right," Graham said.
"At the moment the priority is obviously the welfare of the family and everyone at the club and so the decision was made to postpone Saturday's game."
A memorial service will be held at The Pavilion in Kiama on Wednesday at 11.30am, with a call for donations to the Illawarra Community Foundation rather than flowers.
All members of the AFL South Coast and Kiama communities are welcome to attend.
Kiama's soccer club held a minute's silence before their game on Sunday, while the rugby league club has also reached out in support.
The Power's next game is against Northern Districts at home at Bonaira Oval on April 27, after the Easter long weekend general bye.
A chaplaincy session was held at Kiama Leagues Club on Tuesday night, as players, family and friends try to come to terms with Williams' passing.
While family members were not in attendance, the Kiama men's and women's squads were joined by club representatives from Port Kembla, Dapto and the league.
Williams and wife Kim have been long been involved in the running of the club and were awarded life membership last season.
Their sons Michael, Ben and Tom have come through the junior ranks and were playing in the first grade game against Figtree last Saturday when Darren died suddenly on the sidelines.
Ben is the current co-captain of the first grade team.
