Competing in the Under 17 Marathon Championships, Evans spent more than two hours in the saddle as she completed the 40 kilometre race.

"This was one of the toughest races I have competed in with a large amount of climbing," Evans said. "I'm very happy with my result and it was definitely worth the travel."
This year saw Evans step up to the under 17 age group, where she was pitted against older rivals.
The silver medal came on the back of the gold she won in the under 15 event at the 2018 Australian titles.
