The brothers have made an impact for the Illawarra Steelers junior teams in recent years and this weekend they will have another chance to shine on the representative stage when they line up for the Australian Schoolboys.
With the Schoolboys setup producing a role call of NRL stars in previous years, including Greg Inglis, Mitchell Pearce and Jason Taumalolo, the Feagai brothers are hoping to use Sunday's match in Redcliffe against the Junior Kiwis as a launching pad of their own.
"It's been a big goal for the last couple of years, so to be recognised as an Australian Schoolboy is a big privilege," Matthew said.
"You see a lot of big names in footy come through all the representative levels, including Schoolboys, so I was really honoured to be selected.
"A lot of past Australian Schoolboys have gone on to do bigger and greater things, so to be selected with my brother too, it makes it more special."
The Illawarra Sports High students have been locked up by the Dragons for a further two years, with both Max and Matthew determined to remain together for as long as possible.
For Max, having his brother by his side throughout their junior careers has helped him elevate his game to an even higher level.
"It's definitely helped playing with my brother," Max said. "We are always talking to each other, we always want to keep going together, we challenge each other to do our best. It's pretty crazy to play Australian Schoolboys together.
"It makes it a bit more fun, I don't think too many people get us, we're a little bit different to other people, our humour's a bit different, so it makes it a bit easier being together.
"A lot of people compare us to the Morris brothers, I don't know if we are similar. They were very good players, so it's kinda cool, but we just want to make a name for ourselves too."
