Wollongong is a beautiful city with a spectacular landscape that anybody around would enjoy. That was the verdict of US based International Society for Biofabrication president James Yoo who was at the Novotel on Thursday for the announcement of a global ISBF conference in 2020.

The scientific and professional society promotes advances in biofabrication research, development, education, training and medical and clinical applications. Each year it holds an international conference that attracts 500 participants from over 20 countries. The 2020 event will be the first in Australia.
Intelligent Polymer Research Institute's professor Gordon Wallace, University of Wollongong vice-chancellor Paul Wellings, Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery, Member for Cunningham Sharon Bird and Member for Wollongong Paul Scully attended the announcement to celebrate the news along with clinical collaborators and research and industry partners.
The general consensus was the international event will not only showcase and discuss the impact of advances in Biofabrication it will also promote the University of Wollongong, Illawarra region of city of Wollongong to to global leaders in the field.
