Hidden Harvest has partnered with The University of Wollongong in the celebration of Global Climate Change Week.
And Emily Croker from Enough Said Poetry Slam recited food-waste related poems during Wednesday night's interactive, audience based dinner.
Crystal Eio said she was excited by the opportunity to collaborate with the university and attract attention from the university-aged demographic.
"We hoped that through this unique interactive poetry experience, we were able to further share our positive waste-wise message with the community and help promote the significance behind Global Climate Change Week," Miss Eio said.
Wednesday night's three course dinner was made with 20kg of rescued produce and prevented 38kg of CO2 emissions being released into the atmosphere.
Wasted Wednesday's are held at Society City, 274 Crown Street Wollongong.
Dinners run on a first in, first served basis and a pay as you feel donation to help invest in the food waste revolution.
