Many campsites in Shoalhaven and Eurobodalla National Parks are closed due to safety risks or damage from the Currowan and Comberton fires.

There is significant fire activity in the region and number of major road closures are in place including the Kings Highway, Braidwood Road, Turpentine Road and Wandean Road.
With deteriorating weather predicted for the weekend the closure of Booderee National Park has been extended until further notice. Visitors with campsites booked from December 27 to January 2 will receive a full refund.
"While there is currently no fire activity in the park, there is significant fire activity in the surrounding region and a number of major road closures are in place. A total fire ban remains throughout the closure period," a statement from the Booderee National Park said.
"Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience, however the safety of visitors and staff remains our highest priority. Please note that visitors will be turned away from the park during the period of closure."
The Beecroft Weapons Range will also remain closed for all public access until further notice. In a statement on its Facebook page, Beecroft Weapons Range is unlikely to open for any public access before January 3.
The closure includes day visitor access to beaches, walking trails, Point Perpendicular Lighthouse and campers at Honeymoon Bay and Bindijine.
Access to beaches via water is also not permitted. Rangers are patrolling and will be directing any members of the public to vacate the beaches during the closure.
Th Currowan blaze also affected campsites in the Murramarang National Park. Depot Beach campground is closed until January 3 due to fire damage while Pebbly Beach campground is closed until January 27 due to damage. Pretty Beach campground and Pretty Beach cabins are also closed due to the Currowan fire.
Further north the Bungonia State Conservation Area, including campground and facilities, is closed until Monday, January 6. Close may be extended due to weather conditions.
