A Warrawong man has been charged after an elderly man was allegedly assaulted and robbed outside a hotel last month.

Police will allege the incident occurred just after 1am on Friday December 20.
They says the man punched another man, aged 77, in the head and knocked him to the ground before stealing cash outside a licenced premises on King Street.
A passerby came to the 77-year-old man's assistance and he was taken to Wollongong Hospital, suffering facial and head injuries.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.
Following extensive inquiries, investigators arrested a 23-year-old man at a home in Stuart Road, Warrawong, about 2.30pm on Friday (January 10).
He was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated robbery and use violence cause wounding/grievous bodily harm.
The man was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court.
