The woman was left shaken and sobbing after Noah Farrawell tried to force himself on her while she was alone inside the premises on July 26 last year.
Both the shop and the victim cannot be identified for legal reasons.
An agreed set of facts tendered to Wollongong Local Court said Farrawell entered the shop just after 6.30pm and approached the victim, who noticed he was walking slowly and had stumbled up the set of stairs.
The woman greeted Farrawell and said "how are you, are you okay?".
Farrawell responded "I'm a little bit sore in my knee".
The victim asked Farrawell if he wanted a massage.
He told her "I need to have sex with you".
Shocked, the victim said "I cannot do this", with CCTV footage showing her facing Farrawell with her arm outstretched, indicating he should leave.
However, Farrawell ignored her and walked into the rear of the premises.
The woman took him by the upper arm and tried to pull him towards the entrance but aside from moving back into the reception area, he refused to leave.
Farrawell stood next to the counter and lifted his jumper, exposing his erect penis which was sitting above his partially pulled down pants.
He again said "I need to have sex with you" and the victim replied "we don't do that" before pushing him towards the door.
Farrawell grabbed the woman and rubbed his penis up against her lower stomach.
She tried to push him away but he grabbed her from behind and continued rubbing his penis against her back before briefly grabbing her in a headlock when she struggled against him.
She took hold of a nearby can of air freshner and tried to spray Farrawell in the face in a bid to break free.
Farrawell only released the victim when her mobile phone rang, saying "I have to go" before pulling his pants up and running off.
The struggle last about a minute and parts were caught on the security cameras, which also record sound.
The victim can be heard shouting "No! Get off, please" and sobbing during the ordeal, police said.
Farrawell was arrested three days later and charged with attempted sexual intercourse without consent, which carries a maximum sentence of 14 years' jail.
He pleaded guilty to the charge during a recent court hearing.
The 21-year-old will face Wollongong District Court on February 7 where the matter will be given a future sentencing date.
