Fletcher MacDonald was picked in the boys team, while Georgia Genner and Audra Pasakarnis will represent the girls.

MacDonald's selection comes after he earned an invite to last year's Basketball Australia National Camp.

Yasmin Buttler and Asha Phillips were selected as reserves for the female side.

MacDonald, Genner and Pasakarnis will play in the annual City v Country clash in late March before they head to Ballarat to contest the Australian Junior Basketball Championships in April.

While MacDonald is the only Illawarra boy to gain selection in the under 18 side, he will be joined by assistant coach Jaydon Beveridge.

The younger basketballers will have their own opportunity to vie for NSW Country selection in the coming weeks, with the under 16 trials scheduled for next weekend.
