It's popular food outlets in Wollongong and Figtree will close for business by the end of this week.
Chicko's Facebook post today delivered the sad news.
"It is with great sadness that we have decided to close Chicko's Figtree and Wollongong at this time," the post stated.
"In the interest of the safety of all our Chicko's team and families, we will be closing for business by the end this week. We want to let you know, we appreciate all your help and support and most importantly, your understanding in these troubled times.
"Stay safe and healthy, from all of us at Chicko's."
The announcement came as somewhat of a shock, with Chicko's stating last Monday its Wollongong and Figtree shop would remain open but only as a takeaway business.
