The school recently received a new $15,000 interactive undercover playground spread across several facilities, thanks to the incredibly generous support of local property developer Dahua Group (Dahua).
The extensive range of rubber playground markings and games include Twister, Snakes and Ladders, an obstacle course, fitness studio, Mirror Moves, toy car track, target practice, static long jump, What's the Time Mr Wolf? and several more.
"We were in need of more options for activities that students could play or undertake at break time. We carefully researched the kind of games we wanted on the concrete and were fortunate to receive the funding from Dahua Group to enable us to purchase them," assistant principal Semone Riddell said.
"The look on the student's faces when they first saw the games was one of pure joy and happiness. The sheer number of games is so exciting. They will have a long-term positive impact on the students."
Eric Li, CEO of Dahua Group, NSW & Qld said creating an interactive learning environment via games helps improve student's motor and social skills.
"Comradeship and teamwork will also be developed when using these fun games that require mind and body work," he said.
"Supporting local students' growth and development is an integral part of our community work. Giving back in the areas where we develop is part of our Social Corporate Responsibility program, which we continue to expand."
