The two Illawarra Premier League heavyweights will scrap for the Bert Bampton Cup title, but are we also witnessing a sneak peek of this year's IPL grand final?
The sides have started the 2020 IPL season well, sitting in third and first place.
For Bulli, Sunday will present a chance to win back-to-back Bampton titles after defeating Olympic 2-1 in last year's Cup decider.
"We're looking forward to it, we definitely want to retain it. To bring the Bert Bampton back home, that would be pretty good," Bulli co-captain Sam Davies said.
"We're pretty optimistic, we've had a good season so far. There's been a few tip against us which I think the boys and I like. We like being the underdogs because there's no pressure that way."
Bulli have received a timely boost ahead of Sunday's clash, with goal-scoring machines Luke Van Zyl and Ben McDonald set to return.
The pair have combined for 10 goals this IPL season, but both missed last week's game against the Lions which Bulli drew 2-all.
Davies said Van Zyl and McDonald were welcomed inclusions for Bulli as they take on United's strong defensive unit. The side has conceded just four goals in the opening six rounds.
"They provide a bit of experience that we might have lacked against Cringila. They're scoring plenty of goals this season and they're hungry to keep going. That's what we need up forward, that bit of hunger," he said.
"They've [United] been pretty resolute in defence so that's up to us. We've got some speedy guys and some good guys going forward. We're going to have to use our strengths going forward but we've got to sit tight ourselves at the back."
For United, Sunday presents the chance to clinch their second piece of silverware in 2020 after securing the Frat Cup trophy in July.
United has carried that good form into the Illawarra Premier League season. The side lost their opening clash to rivals Olympic, but remain undefeated since then.
While they're playing with confidence, captain Danny Lazarevski said he expected a "very competitive battle" in Sunday's Cup final.
"I think it will be a good game and they'll be up for it, that's for sure. They've obviously got some quality around the park but we're ready for it," he said.
"Van Zyl and the Japanese guy out wide have both got pace, and Benny Mac has been scoring goals in this league for years now and he's always a threat. But we'll look to nullify them and keep them as quiet as possible.
"It will be more of the same from us, we'll continue what we've been doing. Keep it tight at the back, create chances and hopefully finish those chances."
Lazarevski said it would "mean a lot" to win this year's Bampton Cup trophy.
"It's a Cup final, it's a Cup. Every club, every player wants to win trophy so it would definitely be great if we can get the victory," the captain said.
