More than four decades ago, Mark Vinton proudly lofted the trophy above his head after guiding Oak Flats to their inaugural title win. On Saturday, his son Jarryd hopes that history will repeat.

Jarryd Vinton will captain the Falcons in their District League grand final clash against Unanderra at Ian McLennan Park.
Oak Flats will aim to complete the title double, after wrapping up the Premiers Trophy earlier this month.
"Dad was the captain-coach. It's been a long time between drinks and it's a nice bit of history for the family [to win on Saturday]," Vinton said.
"It would be a bit of icing on the cake if we were to win and do the double because I think they did the double back then."
As well as a shot at a District League title double, the Falcons are keen to make amends for last year's 2-1 grand final loss to Bellambi.
The result saw the Rosellas promoted to the Illawarra Premier League in 2020.
And while an IPL promotion isn't on the cards for Saturday's winner in a shortened season due to COVID-19, Oak Flats still have plenty of motivation.
However, standing in their way is a tough Unanderra opponent.
"A grand final loss is always going to hurt as a player, but Bellambi were definitely the better team last year. So I don't think it hurt as much as if we had gone into the game as favourite," Vinton said.
"We're expecting pretty much the same as when we've played Unanderra the last few years. Their biggest threat is [Mark] Picciolini up front. He scored 20-plus goals in 11 games which is absolutely insane. We need to cut off his supply chain as much as we can, and also be mindful of Luke [Picciolini] and [Dominic] Magill as well. At the same time, we're confident that if we show up and play the way we can, we will be tough to beat."
For Unanderra, it has been an epic journey to this year's grand final. While Oak Flats cruised into the decider with a semi-final win, the Hearts lost in the first week of finals before surviving two games that went into extra time.
However, Hearts player Brad Moreira is confident that tough path has put them in good stead for Saturday's showdown.
"I know we've played a couple of extra-time games but if you look at them, we ran over the last two teams we've played and showed what our fitness levels have been like," he said.
"I know Oak Flats haven't kicked the ball too much, they've only played the one game to get themselves into the grand final. In terms of match fitness, I think we're the better team prepared for the game."
Unanderra will enter the decider as underdogs but Moreira was confident that his side could surprise people on Saturday.
"We know where their strengths lie and what they like to do when they have got the ball. We know that for the first 30 minutes they will come out all guns blazing," Moreira said.
"It's up to us to weather the storm to match them for that first half an hour and try to get on the ball and let our football dictate how the game turns out."
