A 23-year-old man will face court on Monday accused of holding a gun to a Shellharbour woman's head on Sunday.

The man allegedly contacted a 19-year-old woman, who is known to him, about 10.30am and threatened her over the phone.
A short time later, police have been told the man turned up at her home and allegedly grabbed her by the collar of her jumper, before choking her and holding a gun to her head.
The man left a short time later and the incident was reported to police.
The woman was not physically injured.
Police commenced inquiries and the man was arrested at another home in Shellharbour a short time later.
He was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where he was charged with possess offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence, use carriage service to threaten to kill, assault and intimidation.
He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Monday.
Inquiries are continuing.
