Internetrix team leader Daniel Rowan said staff were aware of the approach made by Xpon and have been a key part of the due diligence process in recent months.
Mr Rowan said the for sale sign was not out when the team at Xpon were introduced to him by Internetrix's Google Partner manager in Sydney in early February.
He said Xpon then came knocking and after four months of extensive due diligence he said he was comfortable in saying that Xpon had an amazing culture and skill set that strongly aligned and complimented Internetrix.
"By Internetrix now being part of something bigger it will help us to continue to deliver on our mission of accelerating the modernisation of digital transformation and online customer experience," Mr Rowan said.
Xpon is an Australian based global technology company with a team of 75 people in Sydney, Brisbane, London, Hanoi and Wollongong.
The Xpon group provides full stack marketing and customer experience technology solutions through three specialised business units including Xpon Digital, Datisan and Xpon Platforms.
Xpon Technologies Group chief executive Matt Forman visited Internetrix to celebrate the acquisition.
Mr Rowan said the energy at an internal event staged to mark the occasion was very positive.
"We now have significantly more capacity and capability and access to dozens more colleagues in Sydney, Brisbane, Hanoi and London to leverage and help deliver exciting new technology projects for our customers," he said.
"We are now so much stronger in Data, Adtech, Martech and Cloud."
Mr Rowan will remain as Internetrix as the team leader and face of the business.
