Both will play at the UniBar at the University of Wollongong just days apart, on September 18 and September 25 respectively.
Over the past year The Smith Street Band has played the revolving stage at Yours & Owls Festival, reworked their live show into an acoustic set for seated crowds in Sydney, Melbourne and regional Victoria, and teamed up with The Brisbane Symphony Orchestra for two sold out shows at The Fortitude Music Hall, Brisbane.
"This is our first big proper tour in what feels like forever," said band frontman Wil Wagner. "We are so excited to be going all over the country playing rock shows again."
The tour coincides with the ten year anniversary of the group's debut album, and comes after they landed their first ARIA #1 on the album charts with their fifth studio album Don't Waste Your Anger.
DZ Deathrays are touring to celebrate their latest album Positive Rising: Part 2, with their final single Golden Retriever being released on Friday July 9.
The film clip for the song features an array of canines which drummer Simon Ridley grew incredibly fond of.
"[It] was definitely one of the most fun shoots we've done thanks to all the dogs who were there," he said. "I'm really going to miss having six super happy golden retrievers running around out the back of film clip shoots."
Over the last decade the group have won two ARIA awards for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal album and have been nominated four times.
