Guest speaker Shane Jacobson is still planning to come to Wollongong for the event when it is able to proceed.
One Door Mental Health Illawarra Committee deputy chair Janine Cullen said the luncheon was the committee's major fundraiser to support the One Door Mental Health Clubhouse in Auburn Street, Wollongong.
"It provides a place for those with mental illness to enjoy a a supportive environment where friendships and life skills can be developed, which in turn reduces isolation and loneliness," she said.
Ms Cullen thanked supporters such as Injury and Occupational Health (IOH) for their understanding and thinks when the lunch is scheduled it will be bigger and better than ever as the need grows with the pandemic which has caused fear, worry and concern among many people.
The Illawarra Mercury news app is now officially live on both iOS and Android devices. It is available for download in the Apple Store and Google Play.
