The long-serving Cr King passed away in February 2020 after collapsing following a neighbourhood forum meeting at Berkeley.
Cr Dom Figliomeni has put forward a motion at Monday night's council meeting calling for an appropriate memorial for Cr King, "who passed away while attending to council responsibilities".
"Cr King was a passionate representative for Ward 3 and in particular for her Dapto electorate," Cr Figliomeni's motion stated.
"As Cr King passed away while still a serving councillor, and while attending to her council responsibilities, it is in my view that some form of recognition be considered."
