And it might be about to get even worse - the club could be completely cut off.
The southern end of the road has been closed since March to allow for roadworks, and now Wollongong City Council is looking into urgent work to repair two failed embankments at the northern end of Harry Graham Drive.
If that work - which needs to be completed quickly as the road forms part of the UCI World Championships race route - requires a road closure, it would see the club all but impossible to access.
Club treasurer Harley Winterford said council had not informed them of the issues at the northern end, nor did they hear anything ahead of time about the southern closure.
"Council hasn't approached us for bugger all recently, to be honest," Mr Winterford said.
"They didn't approach us for the roadworks We only found out through the signage they put up earlier in the year. And that's pretty much it."
Mr Winterford said the southern closure meant people had to drive around to Mt Keira Road to access the track.
On top of the road closures, the recent bad weather has made things even harder for the club.
"We've had to get machines up there because we've had landslides up there," he said.
"Trying to get machinery into the place has been an absolute nightmare."
A Wollongong City Council spokeswoman said the club was contacted ahead of the work beginning.
"We also placed four variable message signs - or VMS - in key locations from mid-January 2022 to let all road users know that Harry Graham Drive would be closed for works," the spokeswoman said.
She could not say whether works would result in Harry Graham Drive being closed at both ends but said council was aiming to have it completed "as soon as possible".
"The current program of work is due to be finished by the contractor in August," she said.
"This time-frame is dependent on good weather conditions, and no further damage to the road."
