The property is on the market for the first time in more than 25 years.
Meanwhile, homes in Wollongong and Kiama Downs are also due to be auctioned.
The property at 24 Bruce Road, Warrawong is set to go under the hammer on Saturday.
The home has a guide of $700,000 to $750,000. Sitting on 534 square metres, the three-bedroom, older-style home features a lock-up garage and numerous sheds.
Selling agent, Giovanni Zappia from Ray White South Wollongong said it was a cosy and spacious home with plenty of character.
He said there were already two registered bidders, both local buyers, with inquiries having mainly been from throughout the Illawarra.
"The home is about 70 years old in a well-established street," Mr Zappia said. "The home has been beautifully looked after."
He said the seller has owned the home since 1996, but had been a longer-term Warrawong resident after relocating from Italy.
Local buyers are expected to battle it out with Sydney and Canberra bidders for a two-bedroom townhouse in Wollongong on Friday evening.
The property at 1/100-102 Church Street, Wollongong has a price guide of $720,000.
The boutique townhouse is street-facing in a complex of eight, and features timber floors in the lounge/dining, and a large linen cupboard plus extra storage.
It also offers a flowing, functional design with windows on the north and east facades, low-maintenance finishes throughout, and two private courtyards.
Selling agent, Darren Kay from Belle Property Illawarra said interest in the listing had been broad in terms of location, with registered bidders from Canberra, southern Sydney and Wollongong.
A three-bedroom home in Kiama Downs is also headed to auction this weekend.
The home at 5 Kiarama Avenue, Kiama Downs features three bedrooms with built-in robes, two living rooms, both formal and informal dining areas plus ocean views from multiple rooms.
There isn't currently a price guide available for Saturday's auction, although selling agent, Terry Digger from First National Coast and Country said there were comparable sales in the area of more than $1.55 million.
Mr Digger said there were already several registered bidders for the auction, a mix of local and out-of-area buyers.
"It's in a great, popular location close to Jones Beach, and it's a good, solid home ideal for renovation if that's what the buyer wants to do," he said.
