The Scarborough Boardriders Club topped off their successful 2012 season last Sunday with their junior development clinic coached by 1988 world surfing champion Barton Lynch.

The clinic was held in conjunction with the club's annual presentation at Beaches Hotel, Thirroul, that afternoon.
Scarborough Boardriders president Christian De Clouett said the club had grown extensively in its membership, with a packed arena enjoying the spoils of the high-achieving club.
Scarborough Boardriders have poured enthusiasm, energy and resources into its junior development program with outstanding results.
With a vast array of junior talent in the club, all divisions were keenly contested but it was Kalani Ball who won the under-18s and a $500 cash travel incentive from the club for winning the NSW title.
Travelling widely this year, Ball is in Tasmania this week competing in the under 16 age group at the Australian junior titles.
Kane Organ took out the club's blue ribband A grade division and pocketed $500.
The 2012 club division winners were: under 12s - 1 Karne Blackwell, 2 Billy Fisher, 3 Tyler Ball; under 14s - 1 Joel Wood, 2 Karne Blackwell, 3 Louis Morrell; open girls - 1 April Boughton, 2 Billie Melinz, 3 Kasey Martin; over 45s - 1 Brett Davis, 2 Ian Anderson, 3 Steve Thompson; open B grade - 1 Sam Griffiths, 2 Andrew Christensen, 3 Dane Montague; under 18s - 1 Kalani Ball, 2 Riley Killham, 3 Jayden Griffiths; open A grade - 1 Kane Organ, 2 Hayden Blair, 3 Adam Thomas; junior clubperson - Dane Montague; senior clubperson - Wade Hooper.
