More than 120 students from 26 Shellharbour schools will join the march as part of the sixth annual Reconciliation School Flag Walk in Shellharbour Village.
Aboriginal Elders and civic leaders will meet with the community and hold a special flag-raising ceremony to mark the event.
"I encourage everyone to join us in our walk and ceremony and show how important it is that we address the issues of social separation between cultures," Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba said.
This year, special workshops will be held for school children that demonstrate traditional weapons, artefacts and how the Aboriginal people used them.
There will also be performances with explanations of their meanings and the instruments used, including clap sticks and the didgeridoo, with students being invited to participate in the dances.
The march will begin at 10.30am and the ceremony at 11am. The workshops will begin in Little Park at noon and end at 1pm.
